Ylang Ylang is a yellow, star-shaped flower that grows on the Cananga tree (Cananga odorata). This tropical species is native to countries surrounding the Indian Ocean, such as India, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and parts of Australia.
Ylang-ylang contains linalool, with antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory compound properties. It is effective at reducing Candida albicans, a fungal infection.
Ylang Ylang oil is good for balancing excess oil production on the skin. This makes it good for combination skin as it regulates sebum production on the skin. The anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties of ylang-ylang oil make it good for soothing skin irritations and with its antiseptic properties, it’s good for treating acne and wounds.
