Sodium Lactate
Sodium lactate is a natural constituent of the uppermost layer of skin as a part of the NMF (Natural Moisturizing Factor). In cosmetics and personal care products, sodium lactate functions as a preservative enhancer, buffering agent, and humectant moisturizer. This means that it stops bacteria from reproducing, it will help establish and hold the pH of a product and as a humectant, it helps keep the skin hydrated.
Cetrimonium Chloride
Cetrimonium Chloride is an ingredient used in hair care and skin care products to reduce static and improve the safety and longevity of products. They turn the remaining portion into cocoa powder. It has several healthful properties, including anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. Many of these properties are due to substances that cocoa powder contains, such as catechin. Cocoa butter may also have healthful benefits. Cocoa contains several antioxidants that help reduce inflammation and the fats may help form a protective layer on the skin, preventing moisture from escaping, and therefore stopping the skin from drying out.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine
Cocoamidopropyl betaine’s main function is as a surfactant or cleansing ingredient. This compound behaves like most cleansing agents by mixing with oil, water, and dirt to be rinsed off. Sodium cocoyl isethionate is derived from coconut oil. It is primarily used in soaps, cleansers, shampoos, and cleaning products due to its surfactant abilities. Surfactants help to lift oil and dirt from the skin allowing it to be washed away. This is why sodium cocoyl isethionate can be found in products that help to cleanse the skin and hair. SCI is used as a fine white powder that has a mild scent. It is usually used in concentrations that range between 10-25%. There are considered to be no issues with irritation, sensitivity, or toxicity at these concentrations.

BTM’s 50
Also known as Behentrimonium Methosulfate, it is a conditioning emulsifier. It’s a vegetable-based quaternary ammonium salt that comes from rapeseed. Many times, it is confused for being a chemical due to the ‘sulfate’ included in its name. But the reality is that while Sulfates are irritants for the skin, BTMS-50 is a conditioning agent that works to provide moisture to the skin.
Silk Amino Acids
Silk amino acids, also known as silk protein or Hydrolysed Silk, are jelly-like proteins that bind the tiny fibers in silk. They are used to help prevent dehydration of the skin and help strengthen hair. These acids have a low molecular weight, which allows them to be easily absorbed deep into the layers of skin and hair creating a defense against dryness and moisture loss. Some studies have shown that these SAAs have antioxidant effects and have been shown to combat wrinkles. Is a naturally hygroscopic material. (Adj. of a substance; tending to absorb moisture from the air.) it provides excellent moisturizing and conditioning qualities. 5. Vitamins in tallow can help produce collagen. It helps stimulates blood flow to our skin, which increases collagen production, and helps prevent signs of aging. By increasing collagen production.
6. Helps soothe skin injuries and helps repair damage faster, by soothing the skin, reducing redness and irritation, and helping skin ailments subside.
