Rose essential oil exhibited one of the strongest bactericidal activities. Stronger than Lavender oil! One study showed that it destroyed Propionibacterium acnes (the bacteria responsible for acne). It has potent anti-inflammatory effects. In addition, it contains antioxidants that fight off free radicals which encourage skin damage and aging. Free radicals can cause damage to skin tissue, which results in wrinkles, lines, and dehydration.
